Initial Consultation
I offer an initial consultation, a pivotal step toward your well-being. This is a free 20-minute telephone conversation or Zoom meeting, providing a platform to openly discuss what has led you to seek counselling and whether we're the right therapeutic fit for your unique needs.
This conversation serves as a comfortable entry point, allowing you to get to know me, voice your concerns, and gauge your comfort level in our potential partnership. However, if you're ready to take the plunge and dive right in, you also have the option to book a session immediately, taking control of your counselling experience from the outset.

"Supervision is essential to how practitioners sustain good practice throughout their working life. Supervision provides practitioners with regular and ongoing opportunities to reflect in depth about all aspects of their practice in order to work as effectively, safely and ethically as possible”
BACP
Supervision with me is a collaborative space. Not only can we discuss anything challenging that impacts your client work but may also include things that are more personal to you and how this may be impacting your work with clients.
Supervision isn't just about discussing caseloads; it's about personal and professional development. We'll explore ethical considerations, helping you navigate complex ethical dilemmas while maintaining the highest standards of practice. Beyond that, we delve into your own growth as a counsellor. What are your goals, aspirations, and areas where you'd like to improve? Together, we identify strategies to enhance your competence, self-awareness, and ethical soundness as a counsellor. Ultimately, my supervision process ensures that you're not only well-equipped to provide the highest level of support to your clients but it also nurtures your own professional journey, empowering you to thrive in the dynamic field of counselling.
Supervision is a place above all to talk about your work. Whilst providing the best service is a priority, you are your own first client, it is important to take care of yourself first.
I am trained integratively, I tend to use a range of theoretical models to inform my thinking and apply to the material you bring to supervision.

My experience of working with schools has demonstrated how vital the support is to not only counselling staff but also to school pastoral staff who have regular contact with students within the school. It can offer a non-judgmental opportunity, in a similar way to clinical supervision, where school staff can reflect and share the emotional challenges of their work. This facilitates and supports psychological well being within the educational setting.
My experience in the education sector goes beyond individual counselling. It encompasses a wide range of services aimed at enhancing the emotional well-being of both students and staff. Whether you are a school administrator, teacher, or actively involved in school governance, I provide a comprehensive suite of services to address the unique mental health needs of educational institutions. I subscribe to the DBS Update Service which means that my Enhanced DBS checks are always up to date. This can be checked directly. Please ask for further details.
From serving as a dedicated school counsellor to initiating systemic change within educational settings, my support can be tailored to the unique requirements of your school and your students. I understand that emotional well-being is pivotal to effective learning and teaching. My consultancy services extend to practical assistance, including the development and implementation of support programs tailored to your school's specific requirements.
By working closely with students, headteachers, teachers, senior leaders, and governors, I create a collaborative environment that fosters emotional health and resilience in students, ultimately nurturing a culture of well-being. Together, we can shape an educational setting where emotional well-being is at the forefront, creating an environment that empowers students and supports the holistic well-being of all school stakeholders.
